It’s not clear what the kid will look like when he finally makes an appearance, but Heather’s descriptions of the dude in utero seem to alternate between heavy bowling ball, and a flailing martial arts novice. Maybe something like Hong Kong Phooey, of 70’s cartoon fame.
Using this information, I’ve created a rendering of what I expect our child to look like (see image).

Are you surprised? The first rule of children is “pay no attention to what those pesky parents say…after all, they are just here to keep me warm, safe and fed.”
Hang in there. Before you know it, you will be looking back at this going, “Yep, that was what free time was like”
Ok, I’m really done with the new parent platitudes. It must be the advil affecting my brain. Too much work trimming hedges today.
Good luck!

You poor thing! I had a really active kicker/puncher too. What’s interesting is that he’s still really active outside too – so now everyone’s saying to me, “Oh, your poor insides!” Hang in there! I also like your fining system!
Also if you want the active approach – I have a friend out here who was 2 weeks post-date (hopefully it won’t be that long for you!) and said that these things helped (and she didn’t need an induction as a result):
Red Raspberry Leaf tea (doesn’t hurt that it’s yummy too) – I had a glass on the night of June 18 and went into labor on the 19th.
Lots and lots of sex – prostaglandins in semen will help ripen your cervix.
Good Luck!
