Things I have Learned

Jace is very proud of the things he has learned of late. You may have heard that Jace was not a big fan of his swing or his bouncy chair. He generally just hated being put down, much preferring to be held. We were gradually gaining a little freedom as he started to become interested in the play gym where he lies on his back and would accidentally swat the animals hanging down and be amused. Once he got to daycare, April sat him in swing and apparently Jace forgot that he didn’t like it. Same with the bouncy chair! Now he is quite content to sit in them for a period of time (i.e. while we eat dinner) and watch us and the rest of the world.

In addition this, Jace has discovered his hands. Now he can grab onto things (it often takes a few tries) and hold on. He is also figured out that he can put things in his mouth. Sometimes this is whatever he is holding on to, other times it is his hand. Or both his hands. It is quite amusing watching him try to fit two hands in his mouth.

Finally Jace is continuing to find his voice. He used to just squeal from time to time but now he definitely tries to communicate. Usually to try to get our attention and tell us we are ignoring him (like right now as I type this!)
