Look out World – Danger Coming

This last week has been a big one for Trevor. He started out moving horizontally by pulling himself across the kitchen floor with his arms in an army style crawl. It only works when the coefficient of friction is at the optimal level so if placed on a blanket or rug he is stuck to it much to his chagrin. Next he worked on vertical movement. We had an empty cardboard box in our living room so I sat Trevor in it to see what he thought (because kids always prefer cardboard boxes and paper to their expensive toys you know!). Next thing I know he was standing up holding on to the sides. Figuring it was a fluke, I sat him down again and watched carefully as he immediately pulled himself to standing by grabbing on to the top of the box on two sides.  The box wasn’t very stable so I held onto it while he experimented with moving around and holding on to the edges. Eventually he flopped over and got stuck in the bottom of the box but it was fun while it lasted.

Watch out world, it won’t be long before Trevor learns how to put horizontal and vertical together and we have real forward movement!
